Description of Work and Role/List of Roles:
Employment Systems Group, Solution Design DBA Team has a role for an senior database developer/administrator.
The Solution Design DBA Team supports development teams who develop and maintain application systems that underpin the provision of Employment Services across Australia. This includes support of multiple development environments.
Selection Criteria:
MANDATORY
Describe your industry based knowledge and experience in the delivery of systems requirements based on the following:
A. Demonstrated MS SQLserver development and administration expertise. This is a senior position and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate appropriate skills and experience.
B. Highly developed documentation skills, oral and written communication skills.
DESIRABLE
C. Knowledge of DEEWR Programmes and data holdings
Timeframes for the Services
12 month contract, beginning asap
(Note: Where Personnel are required to travel in the course of performing the Work, the Department will reimburse YOU the costs of such travel at an amount not exceeding that applying to non-SES Departmental employees as amended from time to time. The Department will not advance monies or otherwise pay for any costs incidental to the travel, other than by way of a reimbursement to YOU).

Highly Protected (N.B Australian Government will meet the cost of vetting the candidate.) The candidate will be required to have or be willing to complete and application for a “Highly Protected” security clearance
Australian Federal Police (AFP) Police Records Check
[The check will be carried out only for successful candidates.]
Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo an AFP Police Records Check. This check will be arranged by the Department at the commencement of an engagement of a Contractor. The Australian Government will meet the standard AFP cost.
