Skill set Technical - Essential
Sound Microsoft Visual Basic 6 knowledge and experience (min 4 years) in a client-server environment.
Sound SQL knowledge and experience (min 4 years) in MS SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Reporting Services 2008
Sound knowledge in other Microsoft products including Word template and Access database.
Good knowledge and experience in web application development programming language such as C# ASP.NET.
Considerable experience with Microsoft Visual Basic 6 Windows Developer, Visual Studio 2003 and Visual Studio 2010.
Some source code repository knowledge preferably SourceSafe.
Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
Technical - Desirable
Knowledge of, and experience with, other computer languages and environments, such as Delphi , SQL server 2008 Integration services
Services/work required:
The duties of this role are;
Assisting in the maintenance, operational support and enhancement of several business critical applications.
Diagnosing, enhancing, and testing reported faults in supported applications.
Ensuring documentation is maintained according to quality standards.
Leading, or assisting with, the design, coding and testing of system enhancements within a project.
Mentoring other team members.
Selection Criteria:
Highly developed maintenance skills incorporating problem solving, lateral thinking, responsiveness and an ability to consider implications.
The ability to work and research complex issues, with minimal direction, while maintaining high productivity and quality.
The capability to adapt to various tool-sets.
Well developed written and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical staff.
An ability to work under pressure in a team environment

Limitation of liability- cap
Fee structure Your hourly rate excluding GST & AGENCY fees.
Other requirements Protected security clearance will be considered favourably
Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship or Australian Residency.
As per clause 22 of the Standard Contract Terms; Applicants must hold a current police check (at a minimum) and will be required to supply evidence of a current Police check (completed within the last 2 years)
