Description of Work and Role/List of Roles:
A experienced officer is required to undertake the following roles:
A. Coodinate and process Freedom of Information requests on behalf of Schools Cluster
B. Train staff in meeting FOI requirements
C. Draft FOI responses and decisions
Selection Criteria:
1. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) or the ability to acquire those skills.
2. Ability to train staff in meeting FOI requirements
3. Relevant experience and knowledge to process FOI requests
Timeframes for the Services
The candidate should be available to commence work prior to 15 July.
Availability should be for between 6 and 12 months (negotiable)
(Note: Where Personnel are required to travel in the course of performing the Work, the Department will reimburse YOU the costs of such travel at an amount not exceeding that applying to non-SES Departmental employees as amended from time to time. The Department will not advance monies or otherwise pay for any costs incidental to the travel, other than by way of a reimbursement to YOU).

a. Australian Federal Police (AFP) Police Records Check
[The check will be carried out only for successful candidates.]
Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo an AFP Police Records Check. This check will be arranged by the Department at the commencement of an engagement of a Contractor. The Australian Government will meet the standard AFP cost.
