DESKTOP ENGINEER
at Govt Client in Canberra
Services/work required:
The Specified Personnel will be required to provide, but not limited to, the following services:
The principle responsibility of this position is to assist with the design and integration of ICT desktop infrastructure and services, providing technical development and support for a large scale distributed network, including branch offices and other remote sites. The role includes operational maintenance, design, upgrade, planning, evaluation and services for the Business Continuity Software Project and DVA transition project
Methodology: Project work as directed by EUAD Desktop and Server Technical Manager
Performance: All effort recorded in Timesheets. Project/Activity signoff for all activity components. As per the Centrelink project and change processes.
Documentation: As required to support project work.
Skills Knowledge Transfer In parallel with their role in the delivery of the Business Continuity Software and DVA transition projects they will be required as part of their role requirements to train and transfer skills to selected staff within the team.
Selection Criteria
Please note the importance of responding to this Selection Criteria.
Essential Criteria must be met to progress in the evaluation, where the Weighted Criteria is scored.
Essential Criteria:
1. Must have technical experience in the design, development, testing, certification and release of Windows based desktops SOE designs, particularly Windows XP and Windows 7 .
2. Must have understanding of application integration requirements and methods, including application packaging and remediation
3. Must have understanding and experience with operational use of quality management systems and ITIL systems and procedures
4. Must have ability to lead a team on specific projects or tasks
Weighted Criteria:
1. Minimum 5 years experience and knowledge in the field advertised.
2. Degree qualifications in IT or equivalent (MCITP or equivalent).
3. Develop and maintain relevant stakeholder relationships.
4. Ensure Centrelink policy and guidelines are adhered to in relation to ITIL processes.
5. Ensure design and technical documentation is maintained.
6. Demonstrate ability to create, write, develop and review technical documentation, as per Centrelink standards
Any required particular personnel Not Applicable.
Timeframe for response 2pm, FRIDAY 24 JUNE 2011
Timeframe for required Services Approximately 6 Months
Fee structure YOUR hourly rates excluding both GST and AGENCY fees.
