.NET (C#) ANALYST PROGRAMMER

DOTNet (C#) Analyst/Programmer:
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dot Net (C#) Analyst Programmers to assist with the development of its Funding & Disclosure application.
The service is expected to commence ASAP with an initial contract to 24 December 2010.
Funding & Disclosure Overview:
The Funding & Disclosure project is significant for the AEC in that it:
a. Provides an Internet portal for the electronic submission of returns.
b. Establishes a correspondence solution that provides for user defined correspondence templates and the maintenance of a correspondence history.
Duties:
1. Participate in the full Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) to develop C# based, n-tier enterprise software and associated documentation in accordance with AEC standards.
2. Liaise with technical and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and/or faults within fielded production systems and those still under development.
3. Participate in the evaluation of third party software solutions as required.
4. Other activities as directed.
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated recent experience in the development of web-based software applications using C#, ASP.NET and one or more of the following: WPF, WCF, Winforms and/or LINQ.
2. Well developed oral and written communication skills.
3. SQL skills of a high order.
4. Australian Citizenship and a willingness to undergo security vetting to the PROTECTED level.
Desirable
1. Experience with establishing correspondence management solutions.
2. Experience with implementing a public facing web application.
3. Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services.
4. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry recognised certification.
