SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER RFQ ICT – 0161

Services/work required:
The Specified Personnel will be required to provide, but not limited to, the following services:
As senior member of a “Shared Services” project team, either directly or by facilitation, build various deliverables to achieve transition of ICT services from DVA, and potentially others as separate initiatives, to DHS. Specific functions:
• Managing the technical and operational aspects pertaining to the transition of ICT services supporting various government agencies – scope may include various managed services, security, corporate application hosting, data communications, voice, mainframe, desktop and midrange environments;
• Interface with all internal and external stakeholders as required to validate design, schedules and approaches, and to progress the transition phase;
• Adopt ownership of the technical and operational elements of the transition of the integrating agency up to the point of successful hand-over to BAU;
• Managing the risks associated with project delivery, through maintaining view of the integration work and all project dependencies;
• Control of project scheduling, as it pertains to technical and operational deliverables, to ensure that necessary activities are completed and dependencies managed according to the project plan;
• Provide leadership toward the technical project team, including mentoring less experienced project managers, and encourage staff development and innovation.
Selection Criteria:
Essential Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience in Project management at a senior level (preferably with the technical transitioning of ICT services), and demonstrated ability to guide and mentor junior project leads;
2. Demonstrated experience in
o High level face-to-face communication and negotiation skills;
o High level writing skills;
3. Substantial experience within environments of organisational change, and demonstrable skills in managing such change.
Highly Desirable
• Demonstrated awareness of DVA client servicing objectives, and knowledge of technical environment supporting delivery
• Demonstrated awareness of DIAC client servicing objectives, and knowledge of technical environment supporting delivery
• Demonstrated awareness of Centrelink client servicing objectives, and knowledge of technical environment support delivery
• Demonstrated knowledge of Centrelink Project Management Framework (CPMF)

Timeframe for required Services: Approximately 12 months
