freelance SENIOR TEST ANALYST RFQ – 0220 SENIOR TEST ANALYST

Services/work required:

You will be a key member of a project test team in a rapidly changing project environment, working to a Test Lead and Test Manager. As a Senior Test Analyst you will be responsible for contributing to test planning activities, writing and executing test cases as well as liaising with the development and business teams as part of defect management processes. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to assist the Test Lead with QA reviews of test cases and defect reports. Senior testers are also periodically expected to supervise a test team.


Selection Criteria:

Please only submit candidates which have met the REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE as stated below.

The following criteria must be addressed when submitting candidates.

• Minimum 5+ years continuous testing experience, with 2+ years experience as a Senior Test Analyst
• Experience with Government agencies preferred
• Proven experience with test tools in particular Mercury Test Director/Quality Center
• Experience with and ability to write test plans, test cases and test scripts and execute them manually
• Proven experience in implementing test approaches for various end to end scenarios with multiple integration points.
• Proven experience in being able to analyse complex technical or legislation based specifications.
• Proven experience using XML and SQL will be an advantage


Security Clearance:

‘PROTECTED’ level clearance required

IMPORTANT: DIAC requires all specified personnel commencing in the department to have completed and submitted a ‘Protected’ security pack to one of our vetting providers prior to commencement. Written confirmation must be received from the Agency advising DIAC of the name of the specified personnel, the date the security pack was submitted and the name of the vetting provider. Specified personnel cannot commence work until this verification is received.

Timeframe for response: 2pm, Thursday 24 June 2010

Agency’s submissions prior to 25/06/2010 are encouraged. Suitable candidates will be shortlisted for an interview as soon as a resume is received.


Timeframe for required Services: Immediate start. Contract until 30/06/2011

Please provide the availability of each of the specified personnel.


Police Checks and Security Clearances:

Specified Personnel must before commencing to provide the Services:

• Complete and sign the ‘Consent to Obtain Personal Information” form as provided by DIAC
• Obtain a favourable report from the Australian Federal Police as and of the Customer’s request for a report in accordance with the said Consent
• Have a security clearance at ‘PROTECTED’ level undertaken
The Contractor will be required to meet the cost of any security clearances and/or Police checks as required
DIAC reserves the right to carry out reviews in respect of personnel, facility and information technology security clearance checks.
DIAC expects the Contractor to meet the minimum security requirements as specified in Part D (Personnel Security) and Part E (Physical Security) of the Commonwealth Protective Security Manual 2000 and must comply with Part C (Information Security) of the Commonwealth Protective Security Manual.
